A charity started in our home base- the Sutherland Shire. The Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation believes all children deserve what is their birthright, the right to be happy, the right to be nurtured, the right to be a kid.
We have supported this charity since it launched at Cronulla Leagues Club 7 years ago. Most recently we attended a Women In Business Luncheon last week to celebrate International Women’s Day. Together, we raised $22,261.
Great Team Fun from Kookaburra Kids and Nina’s Chocolates… it took all 20 of us in the office today to “share”…
St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation
The St George & Sutherland Medical Research Foundation raises both funds and awareness for the vital work of the medical researchers at St George and Sutherland hospitals. Once again we believe in supporting charities that start locally and influence nationally.
We support this foundation via “Give Back Business Leaders” program and we are currently conducting Market Research on future campaigns for them.
Cancer Council – Biggest Morning Tea
We support this initiative because Cancer is a common disease and a major health problem in Australia today. At current rates, it is expected 1 in 2 Australian men and 1 in 3 Australian women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. The number of Australians living with cancer or having survived a diagnosis has exceeded 1 million for the first time1, highlighting a change in how we should manage the disease, according to Cancer Council Australia.
We will be hosting a Morning Tea in our office again this year, as well as asking our Soapbox members to send us their photos of their morning tea.
